Last year, we released the DM005NEBUTA jeans with Studio d’Artisan. A super vibrant kakishibu x indigo sashiko fabric that is sturdy and unique. The wild texture is inspired by the legendary “Nebuta” summer festival from the Aomori prefecture in Japan. The festival features daily parades of enormous lantern floats, flanked by large Taiko drums, musicians and dancers. It’s wild, it’s great fun, it’s special, just like this fabric. That’s the reason why we call NEBUTA fabric.  The Kakishibu and the denim create a unique Sashiko texture with a great pattern. The Kakishibu and the indigo make the perfect colour combination.

Many of you asked for more items in this fabric and we gladly deliver: We wanted to take this to yet another level and created a modern interpretation of the MA1 flight jacket, a legendary staple item that goes well with pretty much anything. The baseball jacket silhouette is so versatile and looks fantastic. SDA have provided us with great details, such as a two way zipper, copper hardware, the leather patch design with the SDA pigs attending the Nebuta festival, a contrasting selvedge ID, and the denimio collab tab on the pocket. They sourced the rib material for the neck and hems from factories that are legendary for military repro items but dyed the fabric in indigo. Studio d'Artisan have not cut any corners with this one and the DM006NEBUTA is a true collector's item that you'll cherish for years to come
