Lot.7110 40s 2P Denim Jacket

They've always wanted a denim jacket that could be worn comfortably year-round. To achieve this, they realized it was not about adding details but rather about stripping them down. Something in between a G-Jean and a coverall. The inspiration came from a 1940s denim jacket, made during wartime material restrictions. It was unbranded and different from the classic 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Type G-Jackets.

Key details include:

Two riveted pockets without flaps

Cuffless sleeve ends finished with selvedge facing

One-panel back with no cinch or adjuster tabs

Front pleats secured with bar tacks rather than box stitching

This became the foundation for the “Solid Jacket,” updated with a modern sensibility. The pockets are cut larger and placed lower for practical use like a coverall. The sleeve facings ensure the cuffs stay neat without bulk. The waistband features a unique “A-stitch,” a reversed version of the V-stitch found on vintage jeans. Designed for versatility, it layers easily—light enough to throw on in warmer months, yet slim enough to wear under outerwear in colder weather.

Silhouette

Slightly longer than a typical denim jacket.

The shoulders and body are not oversized, allowing you to adapt the fit to your style.

Fabric

13.8oz Pure Indigo Selvedge Denim “JUMBO” (red selvedge).

Balancing firmness and comfort at just under 14oz.

Warp yarn: U.S. cotton (San Joaquin, California), rope-dyed pure indigo 5 times

Weft yarn: Mixed cotton, spun by Ayabe Spinning using their original “JUMBO” yarn

As with the jeans, the weft yarn uses Ayabe Spinning’s “JUMBO” system, with oversized bobbins that reduce yarn joints, ensuring stable quality and strength. The result is a naturally slubby yarn that gives the denim an understated, organic character. Both warp and weft have natural irregularities, and the indigo develops into a deep, nuanced blue with wear.

Leather Patch

Deerhide leather, vegetable-tanned for beautiful aging.

Top Button

Original logo design, vintage-style processed, then coated with light grey lacquer for a porcelain-like shine.

Clean and modern at first, it ages with wear as the lacquer wears off, revealing the vintage-finished base.

Rivets

Double-punched rivets, early-style construction.

Combination of pure copper bars and silver-plated rivets

Hammered twice to create a subtle silver-and-copper marbled effect

Finished with small dent marks to replicate vintage details
