An extremely thick thread count is used for this material with a vertical thread count of 6 and a horizontal thread count of three which makes this extremely heavy denim weigh 19 oz. Rather than having a soft weaving, these denims are rugged, rough, and have a hard durable feeling. The material is dyed indigo blue, yet has a more natural feeling than others. This model is made entirely of selvedge material. On the back pockets, is a seagull stitching. The cut of the jeans is the same straight as S510XX III. When you lift of the hem, the inside of the material is silver to give it the image of the a Samurai sword, called the "Ear of the Sword". On the back pocket, along the loop is a leather patch with a design of two Samurai dueling. The copper buttons and rivets are all Samurai Jeans original and have a design of Taiko drums on them and the characters for "Samurai Jeans" and the Japanese kanji expression 諸行無常 "All earthly things fade away."
