Tanuki have finally made their first t-shirt. The HSS is a classic t-shirt with a balanced silhouette, not oversized, not too slim, just perfect. Using a thick slub yarn that feels like it's hand-spun and dyed with natural indigo, this shirt means business.
This is the t-shirt equivalent to your Japanese jeans: robust, indestructible, and even rope-dyed just like denim! True to form, Tanuki used different shades of indigo to create a somewhat freckled effect that will only become more pronounced with wear. All the details are there too: 二 embroidery on the shoulder, reinforced blue ribs, and a lockstitch at the side seam in Tanuki blue.
They call this fabric the Shinkai (深海), the deep blue sea, and we totally understand why. Should you ever be lost at sea, this is the t-shirt you want to bring for that experience. It will never let you down and only look better with wear.
