#100 STRAIGHT - SHIKON
Colors for this collection are drawn from traditional Japanese hues. To bring a distinct character that sets it apart from the muted tones of the autumn/winter lineup, we selected shikon — a botanical dye derived from Japanese gromwell root that yields a warm, brown-toned purple. The dyeing process draws out a depth of color and expression unique to plant-based materials.
Shikon is one of Japan's three great historic dyes, alongside indigo and safflower. Designated as the color of the highest rank in the ancient court ranking system Kan'i Jūnikai, it has been prized as a precious dye since antiquity.
The #100 model features a straight fit with a classic, well-balanced width. It presents a refined basic silhouette with a gentle taper from the knee down. The slightly deeper rise offers a relaxed, comfortable fit around the waist.
