This work shirt is made from a jacquard check fabric inspired by traditional Japanese noragi workwear. The warp uses 16/- sulfur-dyed black rope-dyed yarn, while the weft uses 20/- black, yellow, and red yarns to create the check pattern.
The jacquard weave gives the fabric a three-dimensional texture, while the natural irregularity of the warp yarn adds further depth and character to the surface.
Design / Construction
The shirt incorporates classic workwear details, including symmetrical flapless chest pockets and reinforced elbow patches. Black pocketing fabric is used as an accent in key areas, while natural nut buttons add a traditional touch. Triple-needle felled seams are used throughout the construction for added strength and durability.
