This work shirt is made from original fabric featuring slightly faded colors reminiscent of well-worn garments and Japanese-inspired patterns. While expressing the character of a garment worn for many years, the fabric’s natural texture is brought to the forefront. The rugged impression of American workwear is combined with delicate Japanese details, creating a piece with a distinctive presence. Its casual design also has a subtle nostalgic appeal. Nut buttons are used.

NORAGI

JAPANESE WORK WEAR

インディゴ野良着

NORAGI is a traditional type of workwear that has long been worn in Japan's farming, mountain, and fishing communities. Designed to withstand daily labor while allowing freedom of movement, its durability and functionality were essential, while the character that developed through years of use was also considered part of its appeal. With handcrafting techniques such as indigo dyeing and sashiko, Noragi was often repaired and reinforced over time, allowing it to be passed down and used for generations. It was valued not simply as clothing, but as an essential part of everyday life. In recent years, the beauty created by its practicality, along with its uniquely Japanese materials and designs, has been rediscovered, attracting attention around the world as Japanese vintage. Inspired by this traditional Japanese workwear, Studio D'Artisan created an original fabric. Slightly faded colors reminiscent of well-worn garments and Japanese-inspired patterns are combined with the rugged character of American workwear. This collection expresses a new style of workwear born from the intersection of two different cultures.
