1604 14.5oz WAIST OVERALLS DIRT DENIM
This original 14.5 oz “Dirt Denim” is woven with 6-count warp and weft yarns, faithfully reproducing the uneven slub yarns from the early days of spinning technology. Using the legendary TOYODA G-3 loom with warp tension reduced to the limit, the fabric is slowly and powerfully woven, resulting in denim with a highly textured and rugged character. The warp yarns are rope-dyed in indigo for deep, rich fades.
The word “overalls” originally referred to over-pants worn on top of trousers. This piece features a relaxed thigh, wide hem, oversized back pockets, a two-needle cinch back, and heavy-duty triple chain stitching throughout. Finished with all-yellow stitching, iron buttons, and punch-through rivets.
