The 12oz selvedge denim is woven from a unique blend of five types of organic cotton sourced from five continents and spun into Structure Yarn by Taisho Spinning. The yarns are rope-dyed 16 times in 100% natural indigo by Sakamoto Denim, resulting in a deep, pure blue that ages beautifully over time.
Woven on vintage shuttle looms by Shinya Textile, the fabric has a natural uneven texture and a soft hand feel. Every detail — from the iron donut buttons engraved with “BIG JOHN 1940” to the original leather patch and rayon label — has been exclusively designed for the EXTRA line.
