Toshi-san the owner and designer spent years to develop this fabric from scratch. The combination of smooth cotton threads with thick linen which are loosely spun gives this fabric the character of a handwoven fabric. The selvedge ID will catch you eye. It is based on ancient Japanese pattern found in the archives in Japan’s prestigious Kurashiki Honten Teori Institute. Dyed in Indian red the structure is woven by hand. 。
COTTLE fuses the century old Kurashiki folk culture with modern streetwear influences.。
