This is an 'Amami mud dyed EASTERNER' flannel shirt made by the ancient dyeing technique 'Amami mud dyeing'. The mud of Amami originates from the ancient stratum of the earth and its particles are round and fine so it can be dyed without damaging the yarn. Also by repeatedly rubbing the mud with tecchi-wood roast solution the threads become soft and supple and mud-dyed clothes are resistant to wrinkles lightweight do not fall apart resistant to fire and dirt and static electricity among many other excellent characteristics. The gentle deep powerful and astringent colors which cannot be synthesized with chemical dyes can be said to be a rich natural gift from the earth and the mother of the earth to nurture our hearts. AMAMI DOROZOME
