Two colors are available: "HINODE" dyed with Akane dye and "TASOGARE" dyed with Indigo dye. In addition to the thick, heavy finish, the ease of use of 100% cotton is a key point. Studio D'Artisan has produced two colors of fabrics, "HINODE" dyed with Akane dyes and "TASOGARE" dyed with Indigo dyes. Akane dye used for "HINODE" is said to have been dyed all over the world since ancient times, along with indigo. Akane dyeing has a long history in Japan, and there is an account of Himiko offering an Akane-dyed textile as a gift. In the time of Prince Shotoku, it was a color that only noble people were allowed to wear. TASOGARE" uses faded indigo colors to depict the evening sky as it grows dim. Dusk is the time when the sun goes down and the sky becomes dark, making it difficult to distinguish the face of the other person.
