Credit Card Errors

Some customers encounter errors when trying to order with a credit card.

If this happens to you, please check the error code shown in the message pop-up and refer to the list below to find out why it ends with an error.

 

Error Code Reason
 G12

This error occurs when the card cannot be processed due to a problem on the credit card entity side.

This happens especially when the cardholder tries to use the card after card cancellation OR when your credit card issuer/bank thinks the usage is "unusual (because you haven't ordered something from Japan)" and locks the transaction.

Please use another card, or other payment method or contact the credit card issuing issuer/bank to let them know you are purchasing items from Japan.

 G30

This error occurs when the credit card company/bank decides to put the card on hold for some reason.

Please contact your credit card issuer/bank to resolve the hold.

 G42

This error occurs when an incorrect CVS code is used.

Please check the CVS code on your credit card.

 G54

This error occurs when you are trying to use your credit card in excess of the set daily limit.

Please use another card, or other payment method. Otherwise you will have to try the next day before your daily limit is reached. 

 G55

This error occurs when you are trying to use your credit card in excess of the set monthly limit.

Please use another card, or other payment method. 

 G56

This error occurs when you are trying to use a credit card marked as stolen or invalid due to accident.

Please use another card, or other payment method.

 G60

This error occurs when you are trying to use a card that is invalid because of accident.

Please use another card, or other payment method.

 G61

This error occurs when you are trying to use a card that is invalid because of accident.

Please use another card, or other payment method.

 G65

This error occurs when you enter an invalid card number.

Please double-check your credit card number.

 G83

This error occurs when you enter a wrong expiration date.

Please double-check the expiration date on your card.

 G95

This error occurs when the credit card issuer/bank does not respond to the transaction.

Please contact your credit card issuer/bank.

 G97

This error occurs when the authorization was rejected for some reason.

This usually happens when the cardholder tries to use the card after card cancellation OR when your credit card issuer/bank thinks the usage is "unusual (because you haven't ordered something from Japan)" and locks the transaction.

Please contact your credit card issuer/bank.

 G98

This error occurs when the credit card is invalid.

Please contact your credit card issuer/bank.

 G99

This error occurs when the credit card issuer/bank does not respond to the transaction.

Please contact your credit card issuer/bank.
